How to read a verbMAP
There are four easy steps to reading a verbMAP and these same steps are followed for all languages.
Click on each number below to find out which part of the verbMAP it corresponds to.
Start in the centre (with the infinitive) and follow the arrows to visit each tense in
turn.
The boxes with a thin, grey outline contain instructions.
The coloured boxes contain the actual verb forms for each tense. The verb stem is always
black and the verb endings are always the same colour as the box (e.g. blue for the present tense).
The small, grey arrows show where a verb form in one tense is being used as the basis for
generating verb forms in one of the other tenses.
